Sometimes comments can be taken incorrectly as we don't have the luxury of seeing each other and noticing the subtle body language etc.

I don't dispute that the catholic church and other churches have done plenty of good work, my point was that just asking for world peace has never worked. As a side note, it didn't work for John Lennon in his bed-in for peace either. It doesn't work when Obama or Bush for that matter make a plea. Perhaps it's an idealistic and or naive idea. Or maybe, that's what these people believe the public wants to hear. I have no interest in empty announcements, I like to see concrete plans of action, but that's just me.

It takes awareness, education and maybe a strong sense of respect for all living beings.

Lastly, nowhere did I insinuate that making speeches from the balcony was all the Pope did.

I have found that whenever someone starts their sentence "With all due respect" they are about to say something disrespectful. Your comment was not the exception that proves the rule. And I am sure you know that the Pope's power and influence extends well beyond making speeches from a balcony.

Came across this. It's the cult's version of the Lisa McPherson incident, found at the completely unbiased and independent site scientologymyths.com. They left out the bit about the 17 days she was kept locked in a room and force-fed.
--------------------------------
"Q: What happened to Lisa McPherson?

Lisa McPherson was a Scientologist who died from a blood clot as a result of a car accident. Some corrupt individuals tried to profit from the death of this girl and make a lot of noise about it. That's why you know about it. Here is the real story. Lisa McPherson died of what the doctors called a pulmonary embolism (blood clot). Other statements first made by Medical Examiner Dr. Joan Wood were found unfounded, as she herself agreed when she was presented with all the evidence. None of the top medical experts around the country who have been consulted on this matter agreed with Wood's conclusions.

When the medical examiner looked at all the facts she came to the conclusion that Lisa McPherson suffered an accidental death as a result of a pulmonary embolism caused by an injury to her leg in the auto accident. All charges against the Church were dismissed by the prosecutor.

When the judge in the civil suit was presented the evidence he ruled that Lisa McPherson was at the Church of her own free will and dismissed a major portion of the case. The remaining part of the civil case ultimately settled in 2004.

Lisa was not mistreated, she was willingly in the care of friends. She did not lose 50 lbs. These are lies invented to align with a harassment campaign against the Church of Scientology and its members. The medical examiner determined that Lisa died of natural causes."
--------------------
Well alrighty then.

I love remarkable experiences. I have had a few interesting occurrences myself, few and far between albeit, and even some during getting audited. As Jesse said in his talk with Jeffrey Augustine on Dec 7th, one can get addicted to auditing instead of working things out yourself. Anyway, aside from that, I have found that some people, like people at work or friends, quite matter of factly will relate incidences of premonition, knew when someone died, or empathetic to a degree, etc, when a conversation happens to turn in that direction.

Good to meet you too Qbird!
