I am playing catch up here, I hope that by now Mr. Obs is feeling better. I had this surgery done the same way and was back to work two days later. If I remember correctly, what hurt me the most afterward was the gas that they put in to have a better look at things in there. It takes a minute to dissipate and it caused some cramping in my chest and was gone by the next day. Good thought being sent to you 🙂

Skip, it is brutal. My friend Ladybird — the late Laurie Konneus — had this happen to her. Literally kicked to the curb with $500 after decades of SO service. The Cult calls the $500 “severance pay” and the SO member has to sign a contract stating it is adequate severance. There is policy on this.
