My husband does mostly therapy now, rather than meds . . . that is his preference, but in the past when he would get patients stable he would only have them come in twice a year, or he would refer them back to their family practitioner or internist if he knew and trusted him/her. Then he was always available for consult. He does, however, get more satisfaction from therapy and after 30 years of practice he is able to pick and choose what he does.
