A touch assist is performed by touching the tip of your finger to various parts of a person’s body from head to toe and back again until they have some kind of “win” like they “feel better” or anything really.

A nerve assist is performed by having a person lie face down and stroking your hands down their back and arms and legs, and having roll over and doing the same thing to their chest, neck and rib cage. Again, until the subject announces they are ‘feeling better’.

They are introductory faith-healing processes that are used to lure people into the cult. Assists are used, but rarely, by involved members of the cult. Members believe they work by getting a thetan to be in communication with their body so that the thetan can encourage the body to heal itself. The idea being that the reason wounds take so long to heal is because a thetan withdraws from the site of the injury and avoids it.

Does that make sense to you, because if it does you should hurry and join Scientology right away!
