The last time I was approached by a Scientologist (who offered me a ‘free personality test) I replied, “No thanks – I had a green one once, and the wheels came off when I painted it”.

He stood these a good five seconds, with his mouth open, obviously reviewing his communications skills (a trained Scientologist would never be lost for words… would he?) after which time I walked on.

I don’t recommend using this tactic in an online discussion, but it can be quite fun to use on people you really don’t want to talk to…
