Hi Kid, took me a while to get back to you on this – had to scroll through my comments feed. Yes, lots of great stuff in the bible, tales of human travail and triumph, some history, some poetry, yada yada (!). My dad would tell me how they weren’t allowed to read it, being Catholic – the priest must interpret “the Word of God” to the people. Born in 1959, I came of age in the time of Vatican II, but we didn’t really do any bible study.
