What happens in the comment section of this site is what happens in any active, vibrant, on-line community. People will hash over the subject at hand, introduce related topics, and then (perhaps) engage in some other back-and-forth. There certainly are trolls who come here (usually after the thread has settled down) and try and leave a steaming pile or two intended to leave the impression that the whole place is just too, too distasteful. These comments are usually very awkwardly placed and easily identified as an attempt to leave a negative impression of the whole enterprise.

Skillful users of Disqus know that the way to avoid extraneous chatter and get right to the “meat” of the discussion is to choose the “Best” setting and refresh. That way the most salient comments rise to the top, and anything that needs to be flushed away sinks to the bottom.

It’s a very good choice. Hubbard realized hypnosis alone can wear off, but language lasts and by merely thinking it it can act as a trigger.

Funny, I did that(dropped the loaded language) soon after I left staff. Later, I read Atack and Lerma and Armstrong and you and many others who made this point. I was happy to find out that an intuitive choice proved to be a valid and necessary one…

Thanks. I obviously have already written about twenty posts on hypnosis and an equal number on influence. At some point to learn about hypnosis I strongly recommend books like Trances People Live and Hypnotism Comes of Age. The absolute best advice I know of is to absolutely stop using the language Hubbard used. If the terms and phrases are entirely abandoned that can help recovery.

Exactly what you are writing about interests me. The stuff about the harmful effects of shitology´s covert hypnosis-and recovery from said-also interests me…
