Dear Tony, Karen, reading these articles it is quite clear to me that no Scientologist ever got himself into danger for this. First off, Erbil is in the Kurdish region of Iraq, which is quite stable and safe compared to the rest of Iraq. As to the second article about Syria, all one can read is how Scientology sent a few book copies to some locals who are supposedly doing whatever with this. So… just no.

Hey LL, earlier I ‘promised’ you a link. Well, it’s more like a question, plus a couple YT links I thought you might be interested in (if not, no worries).

I stumbled on your conversation with ‘Pantalones’ when I was catching up on the comments.

Do you know the Leipzig Wave Gothic Festival (“Wave Gotik Treffen”)? It’s supposedly the largest of its kind in the world, where some 20.000 members of the “Dark Scene” invade Leipzig, Germany for four days and take over, basically. Interestingly, the locals love them 🙂

If one is ‘into’ this kind of stuff, then the outfits some of them are wearing truly are the Best.
