Thanks! We don’t need to agree politically. One thing you’ll notice is that I try to avoid making it personal. What gets my nards in a twist is that there are still adults who believe that they must justify their habits by calling for a full on legalization. Bad government decisions do not equate to victimization of pot smokers. Love the people labeling “war on drugs” as if it’s our biggest problem. Hey, how bout ya worry about brain cell deficient presidents starting wars for kicks? Or, administrations worrying about education, or hey, here’s new one — unemployment for those who aren’t protected union workers?

1 – If I’d been reading that thread, I’d have called them out for their language and attitude. Which wouldn’t have done any good, but still.

2 – I’ve only been back 3 days, and that unnamed person you mentioned? 70% of what they’ve said has been delivered in a stupidly aggresive manner.

The other 30% was all from one day and it was as if they were a different person.

True Story: When I returned to France,, after over a decade in LA,and having participated in high-school exchange programmes with Mexico and YMCA Swim Team programmes as well as sending a semester in Chihuahua, I considered myself to be a fluent Spanish speaker.

Then I met people from Spain At first, I honestly thought they were speaking Chinese or some Asian language, I swear to dog! The music and prononciation (not to mention the sheer speed at which they speak) simply left me confused. They cold understand me all right, but one friend told me not to speak to her in Spanish any more because I sounded like a ‘cholo’.
