I have to change my Twitter, too, but haven’t figured out how I need to arrange that one yet. I really need 2 twitter accounts — one personal and one not — but you have to link them to different email accounts so that’s a bit of a pain.

I didn’t change my avatar, still have the same Tolkien-related one. I made a lot of Scientology comments. In fact, back in the day, that was how I originally got starred, by answering a Scientology question with way more info than anyone else. That was in the midst of the Gawker-hosting-the-Tom-Cruise-video firestorm. I was never witty enough to get starred for the funny, but back then you could also get starred for being “service-y.” Good times. Sure has gone downhill since Kinja. They still know how to do Scilon snark, though, so I keep an eye on them.

I’m asking you a question on this very old thread so it doesn’t appear on the main page. Once you changed your screen name, I noticed the same name came up on Gawker. And it was one of the few people I used to follow on Gawker many moons ago. TBH, I quit commenting there when the caliber of folks went straight downhill, but you must obviously be from the “good ole times.” Can I ask: what was your name there before? I’m just curious because there was a really nice group of highly intelligent folks that used to snark about and it was fun. Thanks in advance.
