Totally O/t but have you read any of Neil Gaiman’s work? I read some of the sandman comics when I was younger and it was amazing! Now I have all this backstory on him I was thinking about getting some of his more recent stuff.

That is so cool that you hung out in Richelieu Jr., in Paris no less (and all the other amazing posters that you listed). I was just admiring his date with Miss Lovely in the catacombs this morning. Been to Paris but didn’t make it down there, nor did I meet M. Richelieu. Must go back.

I know what you mean about a special kind of star struck that occurs from this board. For years, I was a waitress in San Diego and served many a famous person, didn’t faze me (although Drew Carey made me a bit giddy. Oh, and Evander Holyfield post ear biting-kinda cool). But seeing TO and Paulette, I felt like a teenage girl in the 60’s seeing The Beatles….I didn’t scream or faint, but you get the idea.

Enjoy the lawn mowing, pool-test-strip chewing and possibly funny movie watching evening 🙂

I taught at FullSail, a school for multimedia training in Orlando for a few years. I had this one really excellent student who was always very vague about his plans and where he got interested in audio production from. Finally, after class one day he confessed that his uncle was George Thoroughgood of Bad to the Bone fame. He was going to work in George’s studio after graduating. He only told me once I mentioned I was from Delaware and had been to the same high school as George…of course a long time after him, but he was one of the most famous folks to have gone there. I just now realized, I have no idea why I thought of this story really. I guess the whole not telling someones name……sorry for the diversion.

Now about that litmus test, I just chewed all of the litmus papers, so I guess I’m outta luck. I have a package of pool test strips…I think they nearly the same thing. ;-P

Yeah, it is kind of neat to meet folks on here with such a strong common bond, however odd it may be. So far, I’ve met BTN, Dee, Baby, THDNE and Mr. THDNE, several others from the Clearwater area who are not frequent posters and got to hang with Richelieu Jr.in Paris! That was cool. Oh, an we ran into Mark Bunker in the parking garage on the way to see the SP building opening, but were too late because of the Mike Rinder helicopter flyover cut the damn ceremony way short, so we walked to the pizza joint next to FLAG and bought him a slice. I have family in Denver and hope to meet up with Kim O’Brien and Marc Headly next time I’m out there. It’s weird, because I’m not one of those star struck, get the autograph show-off people, but there’s something about the interesting folks from the Bunker that I just really wanna meet them. I’m generally not that social either, but the common bond brings me out of my shell I guess. I sure have the ladies in Clearwater fooled! They think I’m some kind of social butterfly or something.

OK, that was too long. Time to mow the yard before I lose my light.
