I haven’t read that book but will track it down. Thanks. Life without a spiritual dimension would, to me, feel ghastly. One of my challenges to those for whom everything must be “scientifically” proven is, “prove to me, scientifically, that you love someone.”

Your post reminded me of a 2009 book by Charles Tart: “The End of Materialism: How Evidence of the Paranormal Is Bringing Science and Spirit Together.”

It’s a good read. Tart was a university professor who studied the “paranormal” for years trying to apply material-based science, which he calls scientism if I recall. One assertion of the book is that science in the truest sense is not scientism (not always material) but will eventually come to embrace a spiritual dimension.
