I posted it the day it came out. I’m not sure how many people actually saw it. I e-mailed Tony too, but he hasn’t put it up on the site yet. I’m sure he will. He probably wants to listen to it first and I imagine he hasn’t had time to yet.

You are so right about some people being just “anti”. I do believe that most of it comes from a good place – a place of wanting to protect people from something that looks dangerous. I appreciate what you said about people being hurt by “the church” that they can’t accept any form of Scientology – like Christianity.

So true. I’ve never been in the Sea Org but have many friends in, have done a lot of different activities with the SO and know the inner workings of it. More so now that Debbie Cook and all the others have spoken out.

Since I’ve been out, I’ve sort of seen this hierarchy of levels of pain.

Sea Org – Uplines
Sea Org – Pac Base/Flag
Staff
Public

Public, we have been regged to death and ordered about and bankrupted (varying degrees, depending on what the bankbook started out with). However, there hasn’t been much in the way of physical degradation like the uplines guys. Plenty of invalidation though. One friend was told that she couldn’t possibly be psychic because she wasn’t through her OT levels. Heavy invalidation. Insisting that she couldn’t be. But for the general public, we were mostly busy paying and receiving services.

Staff – worked too hard, paid too little, pressured from the top and not allowed (for the most part) to progress in learning much of Scientology stuff to help them, except organizational training. And having the stuff run downhill from Miscavige. Pressure brought to bear on them to produce and bring people in, with the public nervous as a cat about being in a Scientology org (One guy I brought in said, “I’m in the belly of the beast. I hope I can get out.” He was with me so he was sure to, and did. 😉

Sea Org – Now it starts getting heavy. Invalidation, use of force to get people to do things, ridiculing people in front of the other staff, etc. Using food and sleep as rewards/penalties, etc. If you ever get the chance, read “On Human Behavior” http://www.suppressiveperson.org/sp/archives/201 This talks exactly about the behavior of an “aberrative personality” and what they do to control people. Again, this is rolling downhill from Miscaviage:

“What we will call the aberrative personality does the following things:

1. Everything bad that happened to the preclear was (a) ridiculous, (b) unimportant, (c) deserved.

2. Everything the preclear and others did to the aberrative person was (a) very important, (b) very bad, (c) irremediable.

3. Those things which the preclear could do (a) were without real value, (b) were done better by the aberrative personality or by others.

4. Sexual restraint or perversion.

5. Inhibition of eating.”

Which brings us to Up Lines/Over the Rainbow.
I have never seen a better explanation of Miscavige, ever. Ron was right about this one. Wow. Dead on.

The staff who were at this level seem to have the deepest resentment and are the most convinced that all of Scientology is tainted and poison. I don’t blame them. If I was going to put it into psychiatric terms, I would say that those dear people may be suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome. Funny how both of the initials are PTS. 🙂

And not for no reason – beaten, told they were something totally different than who they really are, made to lick floors, beat people – all of those things that you would find in a concentration camp. God bless them and heal them, I say.

And, speaking of God, we all have our definitions of who God is to us. I believe in something. Those who know me are going to know who I am by this phrase. “If we’re as supreme as it gets, we’re in deep you know what.” haha

I’m so glad that you have a handle on the depression stuff. That’s a tough nut to crack. If you would like to send me your special brew or whatever has helped you, maybe it could help my friend. Tony has my email.

I like that Safe Harbor site I sent, too because there’s a lot to read and a lot of resources for books, etc. Maybe you can help someone with something there, too.

Some people are just anti. Sometimes they’re trolls, sometimes they’re anti-religion, and maybe some of them were so hurt by the “church” that they can’t accept any form of Scientology (this happens in Christianity, too).

I appreciate the information on natural treatments. It is something I have some interest in. In other areas of my life, I’ve opted for natural over pharmaceutical treatments. Such as using a neti pot for my allergies or using massage therapy over muscle relaxers. However, I’ve been so well treated for the past nearly 15 years for my anxiety and depression, I don’t won’t to rock the boat, so to speak. LOL.

I’m sorry I didn’t answer the first part of your question, LemonLemon. This article says that he’s on OT VII. That means he audits at home and brings in his sessions on his 6 month check, I believe. On the 6 month check, these guys are sec checked and pumped for more money. Maybe that’s why Tom is selling all of his real estate. 😉
