Ah, I see. The two concepts are not mutually exclusive. Scientology is more like the lover that you know is cheating on you, but you love her and overlook all her faults. The introductory services in Scientology can make you “fall in love”. When that happens critical thinking goes out the window. In that way critical thinking can co-exist with the mind fuck that is Scientology. It’s weird and I don’t blame you for wondering how that can happen.

Does anybody know if all class V staff will eventually be Sea Org slaves ? And if all old guard “Hubbardian” Scientologists get replaced by new “Miscavigians” will that open the door to massive changes in doctrine ? And having DM’s picture replace Hubbard’s in all the orgs ? And a shift in emphasis to DM as the savior them eventially new golden age of knowledge editions that proclaim DM source and founder of Scientology .
