They want to “arbitrate” whether this was a non-refundable donation to a church or if it was a refundable fee for services. Scientology in its dishonesty and tax-o-phobia has conflated the two concepts (a required payment becomes a “donation”), just as it has redefined near-slave labor as “volunteerism.”

For all its yack about truth, it is fundamentally dishonest at the core.
