A whistleblower at Xenophon’s office contacted the federal police to say he had the staff fabricate thousands of complaint letters using the telephone book. When the Federal Police raided Xenophon’s office they found five letters had been copied to thousands. He was charged for Fraud and deception , but was not jailed due to “Parliamentary privilege”. When he brought Scientology up again, he was fobbed off. The Australian government had already conducted two royal commissions into Scientology (in the 60s and 80s which cleared them. The recent 20 year investigation into Scientology in Belgium also cleared them, including the charge of “Practicing medicine without a license”, since the American Medical Association acted as witnesses, providing documents of Scientology’s codification and results of independent testing of all scientology’s therapies. The Royal commission in the 60s deemed Scientology a religion because both Psychology and Psychiatry are atheistic and have no moral code, only religions do. America followed suit in 1993, calling Scientology a religion for the same reasons. Scientology is not regarded as a religion in ANY other country, but as the only codified Mental Health Authority. The Belgium investigation and decision puts the Scientology matter into a whole new ballpark. The old attacks can’t legally be used again because the Belgium court debunked every singe one.

Yes, it kind of depresses me that they are still going. Quite a few people that I was there with are still there (I left many years ago) – they’ve spent they’re whole adult lives there…I only spent my 20’s there. I feel like I’ve had 3 or 4 lifetimes since I left…sort of major phases, is what I mean by that. All I can do is send them good will on the ethers & also post things in places like this. Perhaps one of them may read something & it will fan a doubt they’ve been having into a flame…you never know! Thanks for your interest – it’s much appreciated 🙂

No, I haven’t posted much…just the occasional here & there Ella. Yes, cults are nothing new…harder for them to keep the light from shining on them with the internet nowadays, thank God! I was just thinking the other day, that I think I was pretty fortunate that noone from Scientology approached me back in the day (Kenja was definitely a lesser evil!)…I was so idealistic, yet unhinged, that I probably would have got sucked in 🙁

Just reading this now (after seeing that you were a fellow Aussie …haven’t noticed your posts previously). Just goes to show – there will always be a place in society for manipulative cults. It will be interesting what the Royal Commission into Institutionalised Child Sexual abuse comes up with regarding cults and manipulation
