The top story is where most people are currently commenting, and where your thoughts will get seen by the most people.

It’s too bad Tony Ortega wrote a lot of other bland and inconsequential crap on twitter and during his tenure at Raw Story(?) maybe it was Slate, I can’t remember exactly. When I saw him in Going Clear i thought to myself ‘is that the same boring dumbshit who wrote all those articles for raw story?’ and when I realized it was it made it a bit harder to enjoy the film, although it was still a very good film. So my advice to Tony is stick to Scientology, its one of the only territories you’ve worked in where the final product is not eerily mundane

All I as an ex 27 year Sea Org veteran can say, is two things:

a) Young people who are Pied Piper like victims, will always be there, there are always suckers, and suckers and hope-seekers will always find their way to Scientology.

b) The hopeful types keep Scientology, official and the easier living freezone Scientologists, going.

That hopeful gullibility seeking human thing transcends ALL of the failure in Hubbard’s past live crank therapy and exorcism of body thetans.

Hope just seems a human genetic problem that transcends good media.

All of Hubbard’s barbed rules aren’t as big of a negative factor against Scientology gullible wannabes as are their own continuing unshakable hope for spiritual transcendence through Hubbard’s past live crank therapy and the OT 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 body thetan exorcism.

Media exposure works on sensible minds.

The sucker born every day clientele always available for these placebo help groups (Scientology fake religion being one of them) prey on the always ample undereducated sucker class.
