My problem reading the Qu’uran is that it is so circular.. It goes over something, then repeats it over and over and over… I suppose this was because it was meant to be memorized? Still, it makes for repetitive reading.

The bible has some clunkers too (‘Numbers’, anyone?’), but still.. Yipes!

Long been fascinated by the use of the words bigot and bigoted. The Oxford Dictionary, as well as many others, define as:
‘Obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, and intolerant towards other people’s beliefs and practices’
In the case of Scifiology, as well as with religions, I believe the word ‘unreasonably’ is the operative. If I say I hate Scifiology, but have zero knowledge of it, then perhaps I could fairly be called a bigot. However, knowing the hstory of the Loony Rotten Huckster, and the behaviour of the organisation e.g. declaring people suppressive, rpf etc etc, it is far from unreasonable to be intolerant of the whole shebang.
On the other hand, there is nothing more bigoted than declaring people suppressive, fair gaming etc
