Following up on the earlier suggestions of things that might help you become familiar with fiscal policy and representative democracies, beyond that which you can get by glancing for a few seconds at Wikipedia…then writing ignorant, snarky comments…here is a book that you might learn from, if you are able to grasp it’s contents.

Let’s see:

Iceland: Temporary crisis caused by insane banking policies. Nothing to do with the poor voting money to themselves. Currently a stable, if somewhat chastened, democracy.

Greece; Unwisely turned over control of their currency to Germany. Nothing to do with the poor voting money to themselves.

Brazil: Has its problems, but not in decline as a democracy. Also, has moved in the direction of cutbacks in welfare spending.

Spain. Similar problem to Greece. Again, nothing to do with the poor voting money to themselves.

France: Are you kidding?

Portugal: Again, the EU syndrome.

Venezuela: Never a stable democracy–democracy can hardly be said to be “declining.” Declining from what?

If you are interested in historical economic knowledge, I agree that you should not take guidance from people in comment sections. I suggest you look up the work of Paul Krugman.
