In Washington, DC, you can see more and more gardens in the city, some in public areas and abandoned lots…That´s cheaper than shopping at Whole Foods or dealing with the health costs of a shitty diet. Many are organic gardens as well. I prefer the lack of pesticides and the noticeably robust flavor of organic produce. There´s a black guy in L.A. who´s been pushing the whole urban gardening angle for years,-can´t remember his name at the moment…
