This is chilling. It reads like written evidence in an extortion case. For this to have been committed to paper, it serves as a reminder of how truly skewed a scientologist’s perception of life, on earth, in a Western civilization, in the 21st century, really is. It’s as though all their life-skills have been stripped from them, one-by-one. I believe most 12 and 13-year-olds (non-sci) have a more realistic take on “How To Live In The World In Which We Live” than grown-up true-believers of this nonsense.

I don’t have anything to back it up, but my gut feeling is that the Hubbardian language crimes are the most important piece of the mental enslavement and life-skill-stripping that happens to those who end up swallowing the whole bite.

In High School I had a girlfriend that worked at the library, so I spent a great deal of time there. We’d wait for until no one was around and do things teenagers do in between the bookshelves. But with three sisters at home it did make a great place to study. It also made a great place for guys to wonder in and pick up little bags of marijuana my older brother grew. I early on never developed a taste for it since I was always around it.
