In my opinion, we disagree, but since I’m discussing the experience of clams, and I was never in, I do not have a strong case.

I look at it this way: When believers in other faiths want to make the statement that they are strong in that faith, they use phrases similar to “I Believe!” When a clam wants to make the statement that they’re strong in the faith they would use the word “I know!”

I know there is no objective proof of the the supernatural abilities offered for sale by the criminal organisation known as the “church” of $cientology[1], you know there is no objective proof, but the clams KNOW that there IS absolute objective undeniable proof! (And anyone who disagrees is a CICS and needs to report to ethics!! And they’d better bring a chequebook!!!)

On several occasions’ Hubbard wrote about what were eventually to be called “SP’s” needing to be “isolated,” “removed” or “quarantined” from society…for the greater good, of course.

When these philosophical notions (which appeared in both the books “Dianetics” and “Science of Survival”) were turned into actual policy driven action plans for implementation by the Sea Org, they were called Operation China Shop, Operation Big Mouth, Operation Dynamite, and many other similar initiatives, under the rubric of Fair Game.

Hubbard wanted his own way…period. Everything about Scientology “ethics” is about Hubbard getting his own way. The current goons that operate the trademarked symbol / name L. Ron Hubbard now want to get their own way.

Scientology “ethics” is essentially the implementation of plans, programs and operations that are designed to manipulate others into “compliance” with the goals of the goons at the top of the church.

Thus “putting in ethics” means browbeating, intimidating and manipulating others to do the bidding of, or at least not resist the will of, Sea Org Captain David Miscavige.

99.9999999% of the folks “on this planet” are not going along with the program. Heh.

I think you can teach “street,” and that it also might be something CoS would want to do in an effort of misdirection. But I don’t know enough about their goon squads to even form a hypothesis. Which is why I asked. Thanks for your thoughts on this.

LRH certainly seemed to be a product of the eugenics generation, and WWII didn’t seem to cure him of it like it did Lindbergh and the rest of the world (the majority anyway). I’m sure he was all for forced sterilizations of the mentally ill, criminals, prostitutes, and poor minority women. He was such a lovely man…

I don’t know if we are differing on concepts or just play-jousting with the clever use of words. I was in lightly – so I can write from some personal experience, but don’t take that as a form of one-ups-manship with you. There was quite a bit of love-bombing and sweet persuasion that went with my so-called wins.

On one of your points on intelligence: Cracked Magazine (once a paper magazine now morphed into a website) posted an interesting article about how highly intelligent people are especially susceptible to really stupid ideas and decisions, as both functions are localized to a portion of the brain. Perhaps worth exploring sometime. Some clams – i.e., those who chose to join in – can point to some 3rd party evidence that they are smarter than average- again, let’s temper that with the Cracked article. Hmmm….Could it be that the smartest are the least well equipped to lead us?

COS has zero chance of ever accomplishing any of this but Hubbard very early on put out the idea on how to handle folks “below 2.0 of the Tone Scale”…which was to process (indoctrinate) them via Scientology or….”dispose of them without sorrow.”

One can pretty easily see where that would have gone.
