it has been my experience that it it is almost impossible to speak politely or otherwise when it comes to the death penalty. Either you believe in it or you don’t. I for one think the members of the murdered party’s family should get 15 minutes alone with the bastard and a piece of bamboo and do whatever they want to the sick and twisted piece of human filth. unless you have had a friend or loved one taken from you in the most violent way imaginable or unimaginable you don’t know from where I speak. and you are right I don’t know from what place you are speaking, so if you would please, enlighten me ( no I am not being sarcastic) I truly want to hear what you have to say.

Granted the second one notes that it’s better late than never, but those are heaps and heaps of muslim organisations in France (where there are apparently an awful lot of those people – LOL) speaking up against ISIS. There was a similar one from the UK, but I don’t think spending the time finding it would be worth my while.

Ok, we are on the same page. I am also worried about the innocent people who are found guilty. It happens and there is no use denying it (not that you did).

I give that guy grief all the time on Twitter and he’s never blocked me. I get the feeling he doesn’t realize he has that ability.

I agree. I, too would want horrible vengeance against someone who murdered a loved one. I just don’t think killing the killer serves much good, and I am deeply concerned about the truly innocent who are either on death row or have been unjustly killed in the name of justice. Personally, I think a killer should be dropped into an oubliette and left all alone, fed scraps and eventually die, to be eaten by rats. I also think family and loved ones of the victim should be allowed to whip, throw offal and filth and verbally abuse the guilty party. I guess I have a certain medieval thing going on, along with a strange urge not to ‘push the button’ on the person (just in case they are, in fact, innocent). It is a very emotional issue.

How do you know I do know not of what I speak? Let’s converse politely, and avoid throwing around labels. Your story sounds horrific – I am appalled by what happened.
