Body thetan exorcism is Scientology’s snipe hunting fake religious activity.

Scientology sells “body thetan” exorcism as a serious pay as you go activity, but there are no “body thetans” out there and no Xenu engram caused these non-existent “body thetans” that the secret high level Scientologists spend so much time exorcising.

Scientologists if they follow current official Scientology/Hubbard chart of procedures, do OT levels 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, a whole bunch of months and sometimes years of “body thetan” snipe hunting, and paying for it as they achieve each OT (snipe) achievement levels.

If only we could see more public forums like this where Scientology is called out on their BS.

Any event like this one fascinates me because ever since Tommy Davis was fired and tried to blow I can’t recall an instance where they had a spokesperson available for comment on TV or at an event. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Karin Pouw on TV or speak.

On the other hand if you are going to make public appearances where you encounter with the public rarely this is probably a good place to make one. I had never heard of Chautauqua before and it seems this event gets little to no press in national news.

I’m guessing that this is the fine line you have to walk when you want to be considered a religion but aren’t really a religion. You have to live in a fantasy world, but still make it clear that you’re legitimate by associating with other religions.

It is infuriating the way Sylvia Stanard lies and even more so because she does it with giggles and a smile the whole time. Arrogance and condescension exudes from this woman. Another annoyance was the 45 minute Hubbard Infomercial in the beginning.

One of my favorites: “We failed to tell our own story and we are trying to do more to correct that”.

Oh that’s rich. Please tell your story, and didn’t you do that in the first 45 minutes of your speech, Ms Stanard? Also, wasn’t the Scientology Handbook designed for that purpose?

I would love to see the CoS come out with “telling their own story”. All the lies will be exposed. They will feed themselves to the wolves but will still think they are coming out on top. Just like Sylvia probably did after her speech. Poor Mr. Franklin, who introduced her and closed. He no doubt had to listen to Sylvia drone on with “dead-agenting” every point brought up during the Q&A when it was over.

Yeah, that’s the problem with a largely Christian audience such as that one – they’re generally too polite in the face of evil and have a hard time recognizing it – which is how Hubbard managed to build his doom pit.

Skip, on the battlefield of intellect I’m afraid you would be totally destroying an unarmed opponent should she even be so foolish to engage you in that debate. Like all of David Miscarriage’s active brainwashed henchmen her ability to think independently was long ago bypassed.

When she doesn’t want to answer a question that actually knows the answer to she lies (e.g. when asked about Xenu and the volcanoes). When she is compelled to provide an answer at all she cobbles together a collection of disjointed verbiage based on the $cientology rhetoric she has been steeped in for 39 years. (e.g. She’ll say something to the effect, ‘Let me reply to xxxx’, after which she never provides a definitive answer. It is as if the sound of her voice is [supposed to be]
sufficient…)

(On a side note, notice how many times she refers to being a $cilon for 39 years. It is telltale. She may be subliminally questioning her involvement. The contexts in which she refers to her 39 years are not occasions where she is trying to leverage that experience as a way to establish or reinforce credibility. That slight sense of amazement and “wow” she reacts with is curious.)

Her core modus operandi is to avoid debate chiefly by attempting to hijack/change the subject. Even there she is abysmally weak.

Destroy her as you wish…

Thanks for sharing the specifics of your Catholic Confessions. I was a Catholic for two years and never really got the hang of Confession. But “I was mad at my mother” makes total sense. I know I am digressing but I have been rethinking the concept of sin. If the God/Jesus was “love” then any negative emotion–hate, jealousy etc, could be considered a sin. Very simple. Very Clear. Thank you.
The whole idea of naming your PC (pre-clear) folders Confessionals always struck me as so WEIRD. The basic premise of SCN was to “rid” you of your engrams. Then this whole “confessional” idea crept in. Very WEIRD to me.
