They pretty much look at you as owing them because you received their magnificent, priceless technology. What’s your bank account in comparison to what you “gained”? To them, (your money made by you), is meaningless except of course that they want it all. If you do OT Levels in particular, you are expected to up your donations because you now know the secrets of what is really happening on planet Earth and that money goes to stopping the “dwindling spiral” as they call it.

This falls under the term “contribution”. Contribution here means either donating money or your time and energy working for the church, recruiting others to join as parishioners, join staff or the Sea Org, selling books, attending the OT Committee, handing over your kids for the Sea Org, etc.

The super-wealthy are treated let’s say, super-well along with the celebrities. They are coddled and pampered. Usually they are not crush regged for donations and are treated very politely. The super-wealthy may not mind donating money to the CoS because they need tax write-offs and have plenty of dough to spare. It’s a drop in the bucket when you’re worth a billion dollars, like Bob and Trish Duggan.
