I relally don’t liek the ELton John music ont his, guys (thoghI enjoyed the stage version).. It just soudns too radio-friendlya nd not’ lusical’ enough for me, I guess. And I like Rammstein and Meshuggaha s well, though I’m more into Pixies, XTC, Talking Heads, Fugazi, Bowie, Brian Eno and Steeley Dan… etc…

When I was a kid we went to a Safari park with my family and my parents were reading the paper we’d been given by the rangers at the entrance telling us that a 4 year-old child had been mauled to death by a lioness when we heard this little voice “Here kitty, kitty! Here, kitty, kitty…!” and looked back to see my little sister, 5 years old, had rolled down the window and was reaching out to a lioness who was rapidly advancing towards the car..

We grabbed her and pulled her in, rolling up the window and the animal just sort of sauntered up, brushed against the car, walked around us and then lay down, bored by the whole thing.

It doesn’t sound like much, but it was really scary, and my little sister was officially the idiot of the day.

I have an ex who thought the words were “Are you wheelin’ in the eaves?”

That’s how I feel. A sweet soul… getting sucked into the meat grinder. Perhaps whatever she goes through now will help her step away before she gets in too deep.
