I never questioned the “whole track memories” the Scientology belief that we all lived past lives for trillions of years. First of all, I was a gullible person when I joined. Scientology is presented as scientific, that Hubbard was an engineer, a nuclear physicist, he did RESEARCH. Then there is the e-meter. It seems a scientific way to address and help find the things in a person’s mind that makes them insane, or sick. I know now it’s all bullshit, Hubbard’s credentials are lies (he never got a college degree). These “whole track memories” ARE imagination, and where they come from would vary from individual to individual. Like you mentioned, they could be triggered from movies, books, TV, stories from your grandpa… who knows? I personally have a very vivid imagination.

Jon was a full-blown member of the cult, and then came to doubt… He is a VERY intelligent man (Tony has interviewed him often here at the Bunker). His book explains the phenomena you ask about, makes it understandable to a “never-in” like you (as the ex-scientologists call those who were never involved with the cult of scientology).

just read it: is it possible that it´s just about association and remembering things you saw (e.g. tv shows), read, heard about? if you tell me “starship” and “captain” Enterprise and Captain Kirk would come to my mind because it is probably association and memory, I love to watch Star Trek, add a stress situation like “hey, you gonna be captain of this ship and you got no idea”…?…have you ever seen documentary about engineering or read about it, was a family member or friend or neighbour about engineering, something like this? ok, do they just use ordinary memory and tell you something about former lifes?
