No - they keep it with their covert "applications for enrollments" - they call all money donations and then state in the 294923 pages of slick lawyering - "we keep it always and never have to give it back"

"...accessory to the crime.." LOL. Good one. If, in fact, that satin object could be found, could we say that it would "finger the suspect"? IMHO, such a discovery would "point" to an accidental death. Perhaps excessive gallantry was the real villain. In overreaching for his lady's glove, Mr. Zharkin followed the gauntlet's tragic trajectory, plunging to his demise.

Well, okay. Bad puns can be fun, but the death is no laughing matter. I still have questions. After a likely exhausting 26 hour flight from Russia to Florida, did the COS take appropriate measures to ensure that the "parishioners" were assisted in recovering from their flight and getting their "sea legs" back by helping them get settled in to their Clearwater digs?

If I was coordinating their visit, I would start the recovery process by rehydrating the Zharkins, feeding them (and something better than the usual Sea Org gruel) and setting them up into safe and comfortable sleeping quarters, ensuring that such berthing included, for example:
--temperature controls set to appropriate levels
--comfy beds and blankets (bunk beds seem potentially risky but I haven't seen a drawing)
--screens and/or other barriers properly installed to prevent accidents like this one. I have no idea whether legal codes/guidelines exist to direct installation of screens, etc. If so, WERE ANY SUCH CODES followed? If there are no such codes, the COS still would have been prudent to enhance the safety of their their exhausted visitors in their temporary housing.

I haven't read the police report so I don't know the answers. and the report may or may not provide any. But I'm going to read the whole darned thing--right after I watch "Too Darn Hot" one more time. ;-/

Oh, you MUST dig it out now and watch it again! There will be so many gutbusting moments that will come back to you. And if you have it on DVD, go to the special features and watch the outtakes that as as long, and as funny, as the finished movie!

Sorry, it's been years since I watched it. I should have caught it. Something in the back of my mind was telling me that that's what yo were doing, but I ignored it.

And then when this person woke up at 8, she still didn't feel like it was too hot.
In fact, when the police came and woke her up, she was wrapped in blankets.
Not to mention that when hubby woke up, he didn't feel the need to turn the heat down, either....
Hmmm. Sounds questionable.

Better false accusations than no news at all. Or rather, BAd News is good news.

Yes, we need more information. Everyone who knew him said he wasn't suicidal. The police investigation report is missing many details. Maybe there are transcripts of Olga's interview and photos of the crime scene that further support the medical examiner's conclusion that it was a high speed voluntary leap from that window, but there is no summary or analysis of that in the final report, no actual measurements given (which would rule out murder) and no mention of any interviews with the people in the rooms above the landing spot.

There are other scientologists in that building and someone at esmb knew of a case where Scientologists twice suggested in a short span of time for a member to throw themselves off a building. it isn't the first time Scientology has been suspected of coercing a suicide or making a murder appear to be a suicide. It certainly wasn't a clumsy accident. Everyone agrees to that.

So the investigation leaves a lot unanswered, in my opinion, as to whether it was a suicide, assisted or otherwise, with no note, or actually a murder. Olga made a big point about him being clumsy and dizzy. This raises a red flag. Something is being covered up by someone, somewhere, somehow, for some screwy reason. A complete investigation would address that. This investigation report does not.
