In reply to Hamtaro.

We’re told that this is a standard procedure in this particular court,
and that there’s a good chance this lawsuit could be settled at that
meeting.

This one time, I have to
respectfully disagree with our proprietor. In the 20+ years I've been
reading Scn court documents, this is never the strategy. It is always
to delay the proceedings as long as possible and put the opposing party
through a grueling war of attrition for both the plaintiff and the
plaintiff's attorney's firm. I think this is especially true this time
because, whenever these suits are resolved, Scn will be forced to either
close Narconon entirely or change its marketing to reveal up front that
it is based on Scn beliefs and methods. Either way, the revenue stream
from Narconon will dry up.

Already there are 15 suits. There
could eventually be 100, 500 or 2000 suits. Therefore, Scn will have to
accomplish (at least one or two of these) three things before even one
suit can be settled:
A. Convince Hamilton to agree to not file any
additional suits, ever, or come up with a Global Settlement fund that
will include a maximum dollar liability that all Scn-related entities
will have to pay to all plaintiffs, similar to the BP oil spill or Union
Carbide at Bhopal.
B. Narconon, Scn and their liability insurer
must already be in serious conflict because not only can the insurer see
the probability of many more suits, Narconon continues to
incur additional liability every day by continuing the fraudulent
practices. Therefore, no sane insurer is going to go forward
without limiting their eventual liability by one of several methods,
each of which is way too complex to go into here. Obviously, these
negotiations will take place outside the view of the court or the
plaintiffs.
C. I fully believe Scn will never settle until one or
more courts rule (during pre-trial motion practice) on the issue of
liability for Narconon Inc and/or ABLE. On the remote chance that
liability can be limited to the local Narconon/Fresh Start corporations,
Scn will then adopt the tactic of proving that each is individually
insolvent or close to it and work towards settling the suits for
nuisance values, say $50,000 a piece. This is a tried and true Scn legal strategy that worked to delay the Wollersheim suit for over a decade.

Like
most critics, my personal preference is to see a test case go to
trial. I certainly hope that if that ever happens, the first thing Ryan
Hamilton does when it's his turn to speak in open court is to turn to
the table full of Narconon/Scn attorneys and say "Good morning,
gentlemen, this is the session."

thanks for the enthusiasm bit, I got difficulties with this one, it is not me, did I mention I am a techie, not a people person!
I think the posts are there it just what Disqus chooses to show in this retrieval mode, unless you delete them, I have not deleted mine.
When we have our conversation I will delete my side of the story.
I will be back on Sunday, and maybe I will have a look in tomorrow b4 crashing.

Gotcha. Have a nice weekend off. *Somebody* is deleting these post, I thought you were doing it. Anyway, I'll delete each one after you reply. But really, have a great time.

I'm trying to come up with innovative, interesting, fun ways to basically say the same thing over and over so that it creates some excitement and enthusiasm with the Bunkeroos. I gotta say, I was really happy with the reaction to that Zoolander post: those last 3 ads were gone in 15-20 mins. Also, I'm working on overcoming my natural shyness about being so "out there." In any case, I'll do my best to support the cause.

p.s. my family is away this weekend, so thanks for letting me know you're gonna be gone. I'll try to help Hyder keep up the enthusiasm.

Thanks Hamtaro,
Good job today at the Bunker.
Before I delete your reply (Which I CANNOT by the way), make sure you collect all your stuff.
I am off socialising tomorrow, in the coming week I will open a conversation for the 2 of us and review your observations to try to outguess CL & co$, and device a strategy.
Have a good w/e, Hyder should take care of the daily list tomorrow around 7-8am edt, it should be at wwp, if he cannot link it from the Bunker PA should take care of it!

Hey Pierrot,
Here's some highly speculative, but bearing an apparency of being technically correct, CL info: today, on those 5 D.C. ads, I flagged each one 2 times from 67 diff. IPs, over a period of 5 hours. They didn't fall. Once I put the alert notice on the Bunker, they were down in 20 mins. THEORY: maybe the cumulative number doesn't count as much as the *velocity* or *intensity* of flagging. Meaning: this is why brand new ads go down so easy. Lots of flags in mere minutes. Ditto for ads up for several hours/one day but that suddenly get a large number of flags. If this is correct, then the degree to which we can create one or two "flash mob" hits on a set of ads per day, the better our chances to down them. Which means the more we laser focus on a group of ads, the better our chances. Pls delete this ASAP after reading. Have fun!
