oh ‘loot’ lefton was AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!!! so glad he’s leaving!!! they’re having another lady, can’t recall her name now, take over in the fall…..loot only cared about money and not about academics….he spearheaded the stupid walkway from campus to downtown that took out all the houses in the area of lincoln/willow/erie and doing building facades—things that don’t affect ACADEMICS…..he cared about ‘image’—and whereas i can agree that is important for an university, the focus should also be on academics and on academic BUILDINGS, ya know??

YES!!!!!! i totally remember that!! i saw the janitor he murdered dead in the kiva entry way—i thought he was asleep! and then the night the guy shot at glen morris i lived on s. lincoln and i was on the phone with the guy i was dating who lived on tonkin ct….we heard all the sirens and we both went outside and he could hear them order “drop your weapon” and we both heard the rounds of gun shots when the guy was killed on n. willow…..then i found out the guy had dated my freshman year roommate and i had drank with him once!!!!

you gotta let me know when you’re gonna be in the area!!! and yes….i LOVE kent—there’s really something about it you can’t explain to people who’ve never been there, ya know?

Was hoping to catch you on the boards this a.m. Yep, we were there at the same time too! I was there 91-95! I’ve yet to finish my degree. I want to move back down to the area big time. I grew up in S’boro. I’m actually making a trip to Kent in the next month or so. Yes, CC did a lot to help bring some recognition& I agree w/ everything you’ve said about her. I’ve heard the new guy is pretty good too. The biggest May 4th I was at was when Peter, Paul Mary played. I took pics for my mom as she’s a huge fan.
That’s cool you show kids…it’s a living history lesson. Esp since the schools don’t teach `civics anymore!!! Argh! It can happen again…I trust the govt, well not at all. So…it can def happen again.
OH! Remember when that guy was shooting on campus? Maybe 91 or 92?? My cousin was all over the news when that happened. She was living at Glen Morris & a bullet went through her apartment.
Oh, memories. I miss & love Kent so much. Best time of my life, easy.
