Lol! Yes you were and it did. Originally when I’d read the statements asking where personal responsibility comes in, I felt that was a fair question. But that was based on knowing only part of the story. This framed it quite well because, as I’ve come to know people here, there aren’t many that shirk personal responsibility in any other areas so it didn’t make sense. Then I obviously learned more about what you all were taught going in and this comment explained it perfectly! I often follow your comments as they’re consistently spot on.

I recall reading this article and this explanation/analogy last year. Re-reading it (as a never-in, now having learned MUCH more about $cientology) and truly believe that there is no better description of this cult fraud than what you stated above. It’s also what helped me truly understand the common cycle of Scientologist –> Exit –> Indie DM Hater –> (then lastly for most) finally see that LRH was MORE responsible & complicit in this scam than even DM, even if he did potentially delude even himself along the way… Thank you!
