Well, re: revealing “ruins”/vulnerabilities….I actually do reveal quite a bit online…I just don’t think this is perhaps the appropriate forum, ya know? I comment on the local paper’s website, ohio.com and when there is an article about welfare recipient and the usual brigade of those who attack them start in, I usually always post reminding them that I get disability and food stamps and I even state the amounts I get, to show that I do NOT live in ‘luxury’, and they are referring to the stereotyped ‘welfare queens’, of which there are only a few….i know when i told off that kjp guy–that was on radaronline though, i did bring up him begging for money here—and how i felt he took advantage of people (did you notice he tried to come back awhile ago with claims of having surgery and needing more and he was jobless again?) and i pointed out to him i sold my tablet to cover my brakes when they went out and i wouldn’t have dreamed of coming here and asking for money…..when i do have some x-stitch to sell, yes i’ll post that here, but i am selling something, ya know?

sometimes i feel sorry for people who have a lot of money….i knew a millionaire and whereas he had no money problems, he was miserable…..i’d rather have money problems and have a feeling of contentment in my life, than the reverse—if that makes any sense…..

my van IS driveable….i have a temp tag right now….i can get 3 temp tags….so i have to come up with that ransom money for that estimate within like 2 1/2 months….ridiculous…suppose to rain tomorrow so i’ll work on a pithy letter to the ohio epa—won’t resolve anything, but it’ll make ME feel better! 😀

I’m still working on an old borrowed laptop that keeps crashing and needs to be thrown out. Really. I’ve been trying to get a new computer of my own again since last Oct-Nov when this one was threatening to leave its meat body and go join LRH on Target Two. Until then, I’m not using email because this computer is too unreliable and if people emailed me, god knows when I’d get it and when I could respond.

I don’t know if you caught some of my whining these past six months about my so called “Vortex of Miseries” along with the “Vortex of Polar Temps” everyone else was experiencing but I’ve had such damn trouble, especially with phone/internet connections, and my telecom company during the same period. Due to a 2 year road construction project just across the street from me and my teleco upgrading underground and above ground cables, I’ve been going nuts just trying to keep basic phone service. As of few weeks ago and my constant complaining of lack of service, the “new and improved” wiring has been replaced up to the point where it leads into my apartment. Now they tell me that to get it stabilized, I’d have to pay to have the whole apartment rewired – which I can’t afford. So, it may come to the point that I’ll have to move or change teleco which means I’ll get a new phone #. I don’t know yet.

So all that to say, as soon as I can get the new computer (I think in the next 2 -3 weeks) and as soon as I know what to do about stabilizing my phone service, I’ll give you my contact info with pleasure.

Look, make sure you understand this, no one, absolutely NO ONE in the Bunker would think you are whining. In fact, you present yourself online as quite the going concern and it is quite the opposite of how you’ve recently let on about some of your present circumstances. You do use humor (successfully) and you do “fool” us – whether that is your intention or not. In fact, you are so successful at presenting a strong, vibrant online persona that I’m sure no one would even think there is a reason to feel sorry for you. I don’t know if that is a good thing or not.

But, in any case, I believe there many good reasons to not reveal too much about ourselves in these kind of public forums, especially if the person is a woman. There are so many predators out there, and not just OSA. One needs to be careful about revealing our vulnerabilities, or “ruins” to use scientology-speak, in case some of the more predatory characters out there try to cause us harm – for whatever reason.

It’s Easter today, so I hope you are not alone. I hope you can spend time with family, friends, or simply people you care about and who care about you. I wish you the very best, Tia, and I hope these damn problems you are facing get resolved somehow and soon. It’s so-o easy when you can simply sign a check to make a problem go away. And you are right, most people don’t know, and will never know, the fear and absolute terror and panic that is caused by not having the means to take care of day to day problems. I’m happy for those that have ease and comfort because their bank account provides it for them. But I do have greater empathy and understanding for those who don’t. It’s a tough way to have to live. And no one deserves that! It’s not right and it’s not fair. As human beings, we simply deserve better so that we can focus on other things – such as taking care of others who have even less.

Until I can get my own “stuff/shit” sorted out, we’ll have to communicate back channel this way. Sorry. But I’ve been on working at solving this all winter and I’m this [ ] close to being online and accessible with regularity.

P.S. Until you can figure out how to get your vehicle fixed, I hope there is at least affordable public transportation where you live.

i’m usually mostly content and can make a joke about things—such as being on a sea org diet at times—but when i get a big financial monkey wrench? GAH!!! and EEK!!! this you get some asshat at a repair place “it’s just a $100″….well it might as well be $1000!!! i know some people don’t understand, nor need to, that some people live in circumstances where $100 is a huge windfall, but gee, they could be a little empathetic….ya know? or at least VALUE money??

I can empathize and sympathize more than I could possibly divulge online. 😉 I also admire and respect you because no one could ever tell that your life is anything but sunshine, daffodils, rainbows, sugar and spice and everything nice. I certainly didn’t until I read about your terrible day yesterday and you divulged a little of your circumstances. The rest I understood by reading between the lines.

I don’t believe in tossing out cases because the victims are not as victimized as someone thinks they should be. Our courts are jammed with ridiculous lawsuits over petty matters. The Garcia lawsuit could have a decent outcome that will help many people who are much more needy than the Garcias.
