Actually, he had a strong case of what I call “innumeracy” when he wrote. Innumerate people simply can’t tell the difference between a billion and a trillion, or any of the other large figures. It’s just the proverbial “many” or “aperion” that some preliterate cultures are supposed to see when confronted with any quantity larger than a dozen or so.

Mervyn Peake also had this. It doesn’t affect most of his writing, until he has to make up, say a piece of paperwork. All of a sudden, order numbers stretch into something like twenty or thirty figures: you’d have to have been ordering since the known age of the Universe in order to rack up so many.

Which is somewhat ironic, considering that a good deal of Scientology depends on an overall aura of “things making sense”.

Thank you for all that information I have seen many of her videos but not the Narconon related ones. Will listen to them tomorrow. She’s been posting on Facebook for months now about these being up. The SP lists have been transcribed and posted on WWP and ESMB for several months now. No one is going to tell her what to do because she does not listen anyway. 🙂 Again, thanks.

After Marc mentioned him today, I was so intrigued by him and wondered if he was still at Int Base and still working in the HU. I had hoped he was out. But more than that, I hoped Tony could interview him someday soon. What a story he could tell. As Marc said, “This guy could write the most fascinating book ever.” I bet he could!

I posted these links in the Bunker recently and I wondered if you had seen them. I think the videos about Narconon will of particular interest. Below is part of my OP:

The videos (although of poor quality) are fascinating in that they reveal some of the secretive inner world of Sea Org training, meetings, working and living conditions, money raised at the Portalnd Ideal Org, and plans and strategies for expanding and funding Narconon worldwide (and their plans for a celebrity Narconon in Ojai, CA, which was Larry Hagman’s estate).

Without watching them all again and picking out the ones specific to IAS/Narconon that were presented during a single meeting in May 2013 at Flag, you can pick out the videos that have Narconon in their titles but also listen/watch the ones on either side of those, as some have pretty generic titles such as “another meeting.” Good luck wading through all of them. Be warned that it takes time and patience.
