Especially since they do to those buildings what they did to Big Blue in LA. That was not preservation, it was desecration and bastardization. I’m in Manhattan and developers are now trying to encase historic churches in concrete while building over and around them. As commercial-for-profit developers go, so has gone the Co$.

Don’t forget that the use of historic buildings, such as the Manor Hotel, the Hollywood Guaranty Building, and others, is PART OF THE CHURCH SCHEME to create “goodwill” and allow the “church” into a neighborhood on the basis of “but we’re only preserving a historic building” argument. Many, many Idle Orgs were shoehorned into “historic” buildings on this very basis.
I’m kind of with Chris on this: don’t let the “church” use historic buildings and a pseudo-religious status to gain a toehold in your community.

Well, yes, but only because we’re very human. Jenna is pretty matter-of-fact in her writing style, so it’s when you really think about the events she describes, you cannot help but be disgusted with Scientology, angry at Miscavige for letting this continue, and sad for Jenna for having had such a lousy childhood.

We know her story is also the story of hundreds of other kids, which is where I lose it even more.

I recommend her book-try the library or Amazon….in the library, it’s in biographies, so easy to find by last name.

Yes…in $cientology’s book of “Ceremonies” they have one for I think they call it a “Naming Ceremony” where you pick godparents. What Jennifer Lopez does or does not know..I wouldn’t try to guess.
