In short, the recommended daily allowance (RDA), which comes from one’s diet (if you’re an adult male) is 16 milligrams/day. That is a minimum, not a maximum. You will get that when you eat a diet with meat, legumes (mostly beans) and whole grains. You very probably get enough niacin in your diet.

The only legitimate usage for niacin is to lower cholesterol levels. This is often done in combination with statins.

If you look at the Wikipedia article, you’ll see that toxicity can take place with 1 gram of (1000 mg) per day up to 6g/day. It was bullshit if they told you that niacin is totally safe. Next time someone tells you that about niacin, have them take 6000 mg, then get ready to call an ambulance. They may tolerate it, but probably not.

Co$ didn’t care if you damaged your liver, they just wanted your money. Your body was telling you that you had taken too much niacin, and they were telling you it was totally safe.

I take it you’re in Canada. Talk to a physician, and ask them what is the maximum level of niacin that they’d recommend. THE ASSHOLES WHO TOLD YOU IT’S PERFECTLY SAFE ARE NOT PHYSICIANS. LRH was not a physician, often misunderstood physiology, and gave very erroneous advice.

If you have toxins in your system, the body usually gets rid of them by metabolizing them or urination. Alcohol, because of its volatility, also goes out the pores and breath. SWEATING IS A POOR WAY OF GETTING RID OF TOXINS. If you have taken drugs or alcohol, once the symptoms are gone, you’re done with the effect they have on you. It’s an outmoded idea that they stay in your system and affect you further. That’s a concept that comes out of the 1920s, and was completely considered invalid by the 1960s. Hubbard was spewing old wives tales.

All a sauna does is makes you feel like you’re doing something. For a short while, it’s nice. To spend hours in one is not recommended, except by $cientology.
