I am in South Africa,
we are not abandoning anybody, it was a call to arms for the locals.
what I am pointing out is that LOCAL is better, but non local have an influence.
And when I say LOCAL, that also mean that Californian flags weight more in California than the flags from other states, conversely Californian flags would have less weight in say Florida than Floridian flags.
That is our understanding.

Funny, I wasn’t going to say that but ran into it several times especially being a new member. First I met the many of the guys at the bar that nobody would talk to because they were just obnoxious assholes and being in AA didn’t change that. Second came the people who were a little bit too interested in you and wanted to be my sponsor even though I hadn’t made my mind up about the whole 12 step thing. I had one girl and several older men that you could tell were just creepy. Then I ran into the god squad that no matter how I tried(and I did) my common sense told me to be leery of. One was a very good person too but kept pushing and pushing. Next I did meet a couple of really cool people just trying to stay sober and out of a bar one day at a time. They weren’t doing the steps but it helped them. Alcohol is such an ugly thing and it came back to bite me in the ass when my sister went through a break up and hasn’t stopped drinking since. She’s one of my best friend’s too but I had to cut her out of my life. Sad but I don’t miss the slurring phone calls and endless selfish drama that seems to go along with it. I’ve tried everything but she’s dead set on,”Leaving Las Vegas”,despite being an attractive artist and athlete. WTF?

Yes, for a lot of us, probably especially John Sweeney, it was heavenly to see him groveling and signing off “ML” after being called a “CICS.” Go Tommy! Jack99 is right, he is a treasure and shouldn’t be consigned to “managing money” for some company. Do you think he has any idea on earth how to do what he does?
