I understand why it took you a few days to work through the craziness of that Sea Org guy screaming at your wife for 10 minutes. It was a shock to you as well. You loved her enough to marry her. The fact that you recovered in 3 days and that you broke away to become Loon Ron Hubtard’s biggest nemesis is huge.

I was raised by a rage-a holic. We were all in shock. I was diagnosed later with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome. My brothers and my mother were all stunned and cowered. I attracted numerous people afterwards who repeated this pattern. My brother imploded and died from it. When a perceived authority does this to someone – especially someone as open as a child or an artist – it’s immobilizing to all around. A total shock, unless you’re a warrior-type where you expect it and can discern, defend and demolish the attacker. But if someone you think is a Good Daddy and a Protector and whom you trust turns around and demolishes you… It stuns you. The fact that you recovered so quickly is amazing. It took me more than 40 years … And there are still things that I’m de-fusing.

This is one of the most helpful things I have read on this blog. He was an alcoholic and his “family” reflects the dynamics of an alcoholic family. Cowed and fearful and unable to think or originate for themselves. You put the last piece in the puzzle for me. I never heard about his rage before. Whew! It’s a relief to put this last piece in the puzzle. Thank you for all you have done.
