Dear Shirley, If a client is unhappy directly after a session, the auditor is sent to Cramming. His error must be found and corrected. Usually people feel good after a session. After the session, one goes to see a person called the Examiner and you tell them you are happy and if the emeter confirms this, you are free to go home.
The unhappiness comes later when you realize that you still have asthma. You felt great after your session. You believed you had discovered something in your reactive mind that was causing the asthma, you examined this and got rid of all the negative energy surrounding this. And so you believed it was handled.
Once you leave the Organization happy, the Organization is off the hook. If you later come in and say “Listen fellas I still have asthma after all” the answer would be any number of things but one thing it wouldn’t be is “Gosh, I guess Scientology doesn’t work after all.” It would be about you. You would be investigated. So often you just keep your mouth shut and hope somehow it will get handled down the line.
It’s a positively diabolical system.

Eugene, I am not psychoanalyzing you. I have not asked you to disclose anything about your mother or father, or any of your developmental psychosexual experiences. All I have done is respond to the ideas that you have expressed on this blog. A portion of my responses have been critical (perhaps superciliously so), a portion have recommended other thinkers that I find interesting and helpful (which you summarily and completely dismiss), and a portion of my responses simply characterize your responses, all of which seems to offend you quite easily (especially, it seems, when I suggest that you study psychology or neuroscience). Your only condition that I care about it your confusion between legitimate science and pseudoscience. You continue to provide evidence that you do not understand the assumptions, methods, and nature of how legitimate science is practiced. But don’t worry, Eugene. It’s hardly personal, so don’t take that way. You are right, we don’t know each other, and we never will. These are only bits of digital data on a computer screen that express ideas.
