What a bunch of horseshit. No wonder I didn’t find his book at all useful. This guy is no better than Miscavige in twisting the facts. The quote from Science of Survival is actually a warning to the auditor to watch when a PC may have entered a light state of hypnotic trance and so should be careful with his/her actions. And this is taken out of a chapter (Chapter 17 – Hypnotic Level) where Hubbard talks about the dangers of hypnotism, how to undo hypnotic commands, and how to avoid it in auditing. Here is a full paragraph where this sentence appears:

“When an auditor finds his pre-clear unusually suggestive, he should be very careful what he says to the pre-clear. He may notice that a pre-clear after he closes his eyes will begin to flutter his eyelids. This is a symptom of the very lightest level of hypnotic trance. The auditor cannot avoid processing the case, but he should be careful to use language quite unlike hypnotic suggestions and be certain at the end of the processing session to scan off the auditing.” (pages 227-228 Book II Science of Survival).

What a con!

And this whole crap about TR’s inducing sociopathy – are you kidding me? TR’s is so that one learns to be there and observe including when it may be an emotionally charged or uncomfortable situation such as in TR-Bull-bait. This makes an individual more in control of oneself and able to handle anything that may come along in any one’s dealing with people. The critics often ask where is Hubbard’s “research data.” I ask where is John Attack’s research data? Has he set-up control group experiments of a group of people completing TR training vs. a group of people not doing so and then compare the results? I’m guessing that he has not… just a soup of quotes and his personal opinions.
