I know you’re right…you’ve been watching this happen much longer than I have. I think I am still in the “but…that can’t be happening here!” phase. I’m still trying to get my mind around the fact that this happens at all, much less that it has gone on for decades and no one pays. I too hope that Monique’s suit will do something. The fact that people are at least able to publish books about it now and not suffer the same fate as Pauline Cooper makes it seem that things have gotten better…but maybe CO$ has just changed its tactics.

Oh Betsy they’ve been doing stuff like this for decades and are still getting away with it. What about child labour laws? What about imprisoning people in the hole for years? I don’t know what wrong with American Law Enforcement agencies over there??? They claim religious rubbish to avoid charges, the beans & rice brigade are allegedly ‘volunteers’ and I believe they have to sign paper work that confirms it. I’m an Aussie living in Australia and don’t know about which department ***should*** be handling this criminal organisation. All I know is that the multiple violations of laws that apply, don’t seem to apply to the Co$ racket. The Mafia should claim they are a religion if they wan’t to get away with *half* the things Co$ gets away with. OUTRAGEOUSLY Shocking scammers, yet it’s been decades and they keep getting away with it. Hopefully Monique and her case will open the ‘flood gates’ for multiple claims and those still in will get rid of that psychopath, ***Mustravage Miscavige***.

There was an interesting thread on Sunday about Sea Org’s confiscation of passports and the possible resulting creation of undocumented aliens. Orangy Sky pointed out that that would fit human trafficking by US definition. I wonder…if such a thing were happening, how might they be taken to court? What Department would a complaint be lodged with? The more legal troubles, the more quickly the collapse…after all, CO$ has used this technique frequently.

Oh my goodness..don’t tell me you have to deal with that down under?! I KNOW you guys have better news than what Kim & Kanye had for breakfast! Heber is one person that most (not all) ex’s and still-in Scientologists respected and admired. Much of the time he was a reasonable, likable person. Occasionally he was over the top and became rightfully subject to mockery.

Agree with you that he should be freed, however my guess is that Heber does not consider himself a captive. He has been involved with Scientology for so long that he has very little remaining connection with the outside world. Were he to exit Scientology he would probably be reliant on friends and what remaining family still exist. That is probably not a situation that Heber would find comfortable. Ironic as it might seem, he is a proud person.

Thanks for the correction. I read a great deal about Herber last night and one would think that SOMEONE would file a missing person report on him and get him out of that hell,”Hole.” When my nephew went missing I took the advice of Karen and we all mailed him daily until we finally got a phone call. Someone should take the free Herber movement to another level. In his twilight years he should not be subjected to the harsh conditions of a religious prison.
