Scientology and Our Glossary

I just finished viewing the Scientology Freedom Medal of Valor award ceremony where they trumpeted Tom Cruise’s education efforts. One of the things they took credit for was the Glossary of Terms on your website. I found it hard to believe that scientology education techniques could teach anything to the people at NASA. Is there any truth to the claims in the video?

Neither Tom Cruise nor scientology had anything to do with the glossary. That’s all ours.

It’s not just that they lie, but they lie so badly, in public, and on record, about things that are easily verifiable! Jeeze. How has the “utter fabrication” become a go-to rhetorical device for Scientology fabulists, along with gross hyperbole, rabid finger-pointing, and ludicrous self-aggrandizement? Does it make them feel all warm and fuzzy inside? Eejits. If they feel warm it’s just because their pants are on fire. And that funny, fuzzy feeling can be attributed to a scientologist’s perpetual state of cognitive dissonance and the mandatory suspension of disbelief required at every level of the organization.

It’s a SWAG, where I am thinking about how many sites regularly republish Tony’s stuff and how many enjoy watching people who know better get caught in clumsy lies. I am thinking perhaps 10 Hollywood gossip sites, a few sites that run fun news, like HuffPo, Business Insider and a couple others, plus a couple dozen news outlets like the TBT or other news orgs where there’s a big Scientology presence nearby. I made that comment because I wouldn’t expect this to get the airplay of, say, the TomKat divorce, but I would expect it to be picked up more than zero times.
