The state inspector dude did say that a large portion of our flooring will have to be replaced – in the dish washing area, a prep area & behind the bar (’bout 700 sq feet). What’s there now is from the 60’s, no shit, and it shows. We do need to get on it. We have been gradually replacing the floors in both the front & the back of the house, one area at a time. I get it – gotta be nonporous & tough yet it’s got to be AFFORDABLE too man. Got ceramic tile in the kitchen – it’s mostly perfect but was very expensive. Found some cheap linoleum for a small prep area… can replace it at will with more cheap crap I suppose. But here’s the deal Espi, this is what I need to know: Is there ANY commercial flooring for restaurants available that isn’t so fucking SLICK that us workers won’t break our butts on it? Geez loueeze! I once hit a little spot of greasy water carrying 2 coffee pots of hot water & went sliding into the wall, connected with a giant cast iron fry pan and was down for a count (no customers around, thankfully, just crew). But I got burnt, cut & contused all in one fucking slip – those 3 bitches – speed, inertia & gravity… operating on the state approved surface! Didn’t help me none too much. Fine! Why on earth would I want to pursue the tech of Scientology? I only want to learn more in the interest of rescuing those who have bought it hook, line and sinker. If the concepts of Satori and “Clear” have any similarities (I dispute that they do), then the fact remains that the practices and outcomes are quite the opposite. Satori brings insight and wisdom, while “Clear” makes you bankrupt and insane. But feel free to pursue Scientology tech and go OTVII – so many success stories there {sarcasm}.
