Thanks, chukita! I’ll definitely read the article. But from what I have read of the intentions of LRH, Scientology (in theory) has been dabbling in goverments here & abroad for decades. I just find it hard to understand why the Feebs and IRS are so prosecution-shy. RC priest-s3x-abusers were tried, finally, were they not?

Human rights abuses & labor laws are rampant in the CoS; Larry Brennan–tho’ he may have passed away?–wrote a brilliant deposition describing his work for Hubbard & D. “I’m NOT insane!!” M. to create a Religious Cloaking for the “Church,” RTC, & the various front groups; & explained in detail how the entire farce is maintained. What happened to his depo? I wonder if the excruciatingly slow-to-act IRS needs to, um, Un-Church COS before the structure can cease to be a menace. My concern is not only w/COS; US democracy could benefit overall, as the line between church/state seems to fade more w/every passing year.

I just want to say thanks so much for your reply. Time is a precious thing in this life, and the fact that you took your time to respond to me, well, I really appreciate it. That goes for some of the other kind people I have talked to here. And I can indeed sympathize with the situation regarding the person you explained, it now makes much more sense as to why people have been a bit “edgier” than I expected here. I know what it’s like to be lied to, manipulated, and taken advantage of, and I even went back last night and read through tons of comments to try to better understand the situation. It was so sad that people had to go through that here, and I hope that particular individual gets some help. I do believe that there are some genuinely good hearted people here, which is, I suppose one of the reasons I was a bit taken back by the hostility I initially received. But because of a few people like you, Tony, and my own further reading I am now able to better understand the why.

I was made aware that yes, there will be some CO$/OSA socks that would attempt vigorously to disrupt, distract, and sow discord here, due to their own twisted policies of trying to “handle” critics in a most malicious way. And I even have become more aware of it since posting here…it seems as though they have figured out at this point that the best way to do such things are by pitting the posters here against one another by accusing everyone of being a “sock”, thereby inciting mistrust, and a form of “witch-hunting” (sock hunting) has ensued now where every poster is now guilty until proven innocent, from what I have observed. And it looks like that particular tactic is working very well, sadly. I hope that there is some way in the future to keep that from turning anyone away who is truly seeking information and help, or wants to help others heal, or exit the scam of $cientology.

I have always been taught though that respect, and trust is earned, and not freely given, and am just going to buckle down and be my honest, goofy, weird self, and as you said let time show the evidence. Again, thanks so much for your time, see you ’round the board! Cheers 🙂

Firstly, my post to you was somewhat flippant and perhaps a little bit trollish on my part. Secondly, not to insult you or anything, but verifying your indentity just isn’t that important to me, as I am sure that my bona fides are of little interest to you. Live and let live, no hard feelings. In the end, we are all socks here on the internet– some honest, some good, some with “black hearts.” Some really kind folks here recently got taken advantage of by a “black heart” and it made everyone mad (including me)– we EXPECT OSA to troll and do everything they can to derail and disrupt the community here, but this was an evil, power hungry, extremely damaged soul who spends her life preying on the goodness of others to make herself feel more important. She burned some really good people and managed to piss off a good portion of this community. As a result, every new poster here will be met with a greater scrutiny than in the past, as it is not unreasonable to expect this sick woman to come back in another guise to continue her game. I care not about her, but I do feel very protective of the very good hearted people here in this community, and will also be vigilant to protect them. Good people have to band together, because the ugly people in this world can’t succeed if we do.

You be who you want to be, and for your soul’s sake, I hope you have good intentions. If you are good and honest, continue to be your good and honest self and it will all turn out fine. If you aren’t, it will become evident over time. Peace to you, too.

Wow, ok, I’m sorry you think that, I know others have accused me of being a “sock” as well so I sent Tony Ortega information proving that no I am no “sockpuppet” for the vile, evil CO$. I am actually what you call a “never-in”. But if you don’t believe me, please feel free to email Tony and ask him about me, I’m sure he’d be glad to confirm that I am indeed no “sock” but far from it. Peace. 🙂
