The first page of Google hits was full of David Icke (who believes the world is controlled by reptilian shape-shifters), people peddling New Agey snake oils of various kinds, etc. I know that you do not see any of those kind of sources as disreputable, but at least you should be aware that other people do.

I also just advanced googled for him and got over 298,000 hits. But I guess you checked them all out and found him wanting. 🙂 That you’ve never heard his name hardly means anything in respect of anything, especially since you’d already judged his subject in advance. He’s been published in his own field and his public book has been translated into a variety of languages. That the US Army (Green Berets) hired him for trainings probably didn’t impinge on you, either.

But I do realize that I’m wasting typing time with you and your closed mind, especially where anything I comment on is concerned. As earlier noted, you seem to have some special negative response to much of anything I post. So be it.

It’s a fast-moving field which I cannot pretend to be an expert on, but the sort of stuff he does is what I heard about decades ago. You say he’s highly respected but I never heard his name come up anywhere until you put me on to him, and Googling his name doesn’t turn up much about anybody else citing him for anything. And no, I do not find anything about onions or garlic damaging the brain.

I love it, Robert. You’re an expert on everything. I’ve seen Jim’s results and they’re pretty damned amazing. I suspect he knows just a bit more about the brain than you do. As well, he’s a highly respected researcher in the field, which you are not. But that will hardly keep you from mouthing off. Btw, did you find the onion/garlic information you so terribly desired?
