He set out all on his own Max – expelled from his home and all he knew – how unbelievably frightening is that even at the age of 21?! A first gen Scientology kid thrown out into the “real” world by his own father, the leader of a {great religion}. He took off – fled – ran away – he orphaned himself – in an attempt to be free – he wanted to fly away. And he did.
He got away – he was on his own finally – for a few precious weeks – the Clear Blue Sky was the limit!
And then, his life, the life of a beautiful dear vibrant young man ended. My heart aches for him.
Where were all the friends and family that loved Quentin?
Why wasn’t he not only allowed, but positively *encouraged* to follow his dream of becoming a pilot?
For Quentin Hubbard, all the “pure” Scientology training on the planet, tech flowing into him directly from Source, failed completely & utterly.

I myself was orphaned so to speak at an age younger than Quentin. Really scary life changing time, highly traumatic. But listen: People, Mom’s & Dad’s of friends from high school, complete strangers to me took me in, just like that, it happened. I needed assistance and it was there. Not just one, but several families gave me a home, for a time, let me finish school, fed me and kept me safe until I could make it on my own. I was on my own pretty quickly, in college, working several jobs, living
with roommates in an old town off campus apartment in a big city at age 19.

I have no idea why these people would do something like that for me Max… except that they could, they were able and so they did. I am entirely grateful as I had no family to count on nor to go to. Strangers have loved me. Strangers in my life have “saved” me. I did not end up like Quentin, lost, alone, naked, dying. I hear his story & I wonder how is it that *I*, a complete non-scientologist, a Hubbardian so-called “wog” survived and he did not. Just the luck of a draw perhaps. I got lucky. I have never been touched by scientology.

Yes, and why not help someone in any way that you are able? If you can.

I bounced out after doing a 2.5 year gig at a little mission — shot down in the purge — in New York. One of my first (and one of the few) “ethics cycles” I had was when the very person who got me into the whole mess (CoS) started doing some “other practices.” He told me about it. I, knowing nothing, told someone that this person was doing said “other practices” and he got called in an ‘ethics cycle, then I had one. Then it was over. Everyone was pissed off and I have some of my first “doubts” (cello section hit). 🙂

The free trial version has some good presets and you can download others here and there. Some are good, some don’t do anything for me. I use it with some regularity but I also like selections like those you posted. It’s one of those “other practices” that “they” won’t want “us” doing. Too bad for them. 😛
