I read that he passed same day as JFK, couple hours before.
He made a great difference in my life, my son is reading him now in a book club.

Jamestown is precisely where Arabella lived. Your family must have been part of the same Swedish community. Perhaps the church I was baptized in was not actually Presbyterian. My bio-dad is long long gone (the dad who is declining now is my stepdad) but mom might know.

My father first immigrated to Jamestown, NY, which is south of Buffalo. The church he was affiliated with has at least one in Buffalo as well.

If my parents were still alive, I could ask them if they knew her.

This isn’t the place for photos of it. Sorry my feelings of compassion for the slaughtered animal stepped on your toes. I’ve always been supportive of you, Derek. And I’m STILL glad you are with family that loves you. But, why can’t you understand that this shit is triggering for me (and clearly for others here)? It is really unfortunate that you can’t seem to understand that or be flexible about our sensitivities. You’ve posted extensively about this and I never had any objection until you put up a photo of the carcass. That’s great that you’re cool with this stuff, but some of us DO NOT WANT TO SEE IT. We have repeatedly and calmly said so. So, why not just take it down? It would be awesome if you’d post it over on flickr instead so that those who wished could see and those of us who find it upsetting could be spared. This isn’t a hunting blog and the image you posted has nothing whatsoever to do with scientology. It would be nice if you could be a little flexible instead of being so defensive. I had to close my eyes to scroll past it. Your nightmares are made of different things, I know… but this kind of thing is what MINE are made of. I wish you could see that. I wake up at 3am and this shit scrolls through my head on endless repeat. Can you relate to that? Or at least have a little compassion for me? Fine, I’m done with this.

I believe they’re sprinklers. I’ve never been in a Presbyterian church since except once, for a funeral of someone who wasn’t even a member but had done architectural design for the church. I don’t know if Arabella belonged to the Presbyterians either; maybe she too belonged to some arch-fundy sect that had no church in Buffalo. I really have no contact with that whole side of the family (my mom traced some of it: Grover Norquist is a more distant cousin, original family name Nordquist, which means a branch of the Nords, bastard branch I assume).
