She called me the other day and told me that she was getting married.. She has only known him for a month. I was so proud of myself for not opening my big yap to tell her that it was too soon..

But telling me first is a huge step… for her.. and not warning her about the danger of jumping into something so quickly is a huge step for me..

So we are moving forward. Thank you so much for your story honey.. BPDs are so difficult population. So polarizing. Narcissists are difficult too.. but I am finally catching on to her..

How are things going with you re-connection with you DD?
My sister “went away” from my family for years.
I had a trip to Paris during that time. And I lit a candle in every single church I saw.
She later turned up across the courtroom to see her son sentenced to prison, and still didn’t speak to us. One of the worst days of my life.
But somehow she had a trauma that turned her toward us.
She got treatment for BPD, and I began to understand that she was probably doing the best she could with what she had. Somehow she was just empty of certain empathies and emotions. So it seemed less personally aimed at me. And my compassion grew.
We were awesome for what turned out to be the last 2 Yeats of her life.
The bulimia and cocaine use had just worn out her heart and he died in her early 40s.
She was soooo frustrating and maddening at times, but wouldnt I love to hug her again.
Sorry for rambling. I know reunions are damn hard.
