As a 70 year old STILL fan of Elvis and his music and that wonderful voice, I have from time to time read up on Lisa Marie and what has been going on in her life. To say I am quite relieved to know she has left Scientology behind, become quite a grown up, and is leading her life as a free willed adult is nothing but positive. It is also good to know her mother and daughter have also not attended cult events in a long time shows this family has made strides to return to normalcy…whatever normalcy is when you are related to Elvis! 🙂 Good for ALL of them to know they can make decisions of their own and not be controlled and live in fear of reprisal. Hoping that whatever family members remain will finally reach the understanding of control by this cult/

Good words, kind words. Thanks. Everyone has their own Hell. Comparing them doesn’t work very well. The pain you felt was the same kind of pain others felt. That’s the way Hell is set up. 🙂 Each of us has to work through our own Hell, generally self created in the first place. LOL I think it’s called “living”. 🙂

Thank you Peter, but compared to the long termers ‘survival testimonies’, my life has been a piece of cake, these people are the ***BRAVE*** ones. This includes you. You got out and I’m sure that took a lot of ‘Courage’, Well Done. I think we need to be kind to the poor fools like SoS and treat them with kindness, that way they can see there is another way of relating to others. $cos is such an ***OUTRAGEOUSLY*** Toxic; Scary, Vicious, CULT!!! Anyone who want’s Out needs help and if we slag them off, it will be proof that we are the same if not worse than $cos. OK rant over. Yet you've persevered and are living differently now than you did then. It seems we all make constant choices in life, some liberating, some imprisoning. It's up to each individual to sort it out, IMHO, seek help if needed, and rise into the sunlight again if that's what's needed. Your bravery shows through, too. Very well done, Barbara. We're all delighted to hear such stories of overcoming the crap. Welcome to the sunshine!
