I think the mistake of many independent Scientologists is to believe that while David Miscavige has made Scientology into a horrible mess, that Scientology was in good shape when LRH was around. Not true. Scientology was always fraught with problems, and Hubbard was perhaps even more messed up in the head the little David.

Please have something practical you put first thought, like living life or taking care of children if you have them. Balancing your new life is important to your sanity and maintaining good social skills.

Concerning L Ron’s continued drug use: Hubbard’s personal physician was a person named Gene Denke. Gene Denke was like the Conrad Murray for Michael Jackson in that he prescribed whatever drug L Ron wanted for many years. Contrary to common belief among those still faithful to corporate Scientology , in his latter years L Ron was nothing more than a disabled, addle minded adult that needed constant care. That he continued his “I’m the Devil” persona to his death confirms the state of his mental health.

“Many people who become Scientologists were once seekers of something beyond everyday human existence. When they join Scientology they are indoctrinated to look no further. If they obey the command, they must give up on all further seeking and become dedicated to Scientology exclusively, 200%. Some people leave (CoS) Scientology, and if they can maintain enough distance for a long enough time, they might regain their self-awareness and pick up where they left off, resuming the journey they were forced to give up. Marty is such a person. I wasn’t sure how things would pan out for him. I’m just glad to hear he’s back on track. Becoming immersed in Scientology is a lot like navigating a long underground tunnel. Yes the way out is the way through. And the way THROUGH is the way OUT. Some just never make it through. Welcome back Marty. You’ve now earned my respect for what it’s worth.”
