One thing that could come up in her deposition is that Miscavige is in such total control that he ignores requests (even from counsel and high-ranking officials) to grant refunds to donors or account for donations, and even punishes people who make such requests. If so, they can kiss tax-exempt status good-bye.

I’m very happy for you. Your hubby sounds like a great guy and you’re lucky to have each other.

I think that my marriage struggles had a lot to do with the way I was raised. When I ended up being responsible for my dad’s care in his old age (80s), I realized that when I was married, I had married someone who was like him: manipulative and passive-aggressive, and while I had left all of that behind years ago, I was faced with it again.

Maybe it’s possible for me…
